Are the Ospreys after reaching?

The Ospreys are a strange region. There is a strong feeling that they are being treated for a side that will not hit the heights or to win trophies, that their talented team should.

But they are also the most successful regions of Welsh Rugby. They have twice won the championship of the Baltic (or Celtic League, as it was) and once in the EDF Cup victory over Leicester in the final, and losing in the finals - Leicester once again - on another occasion.

So not only theSuccess they have enjoyed, but the fact that success is enough. It is a feeling in the region based in Swansea, which must compete more in Europe in the Heineken Cup, Europe's leading rugby competition.

As they held through the group stages over the last two years, must be the goal more. Both times were like a "best 2nd place qualifier ', rather than the victory of the group. This has led to serious problems in qualifying. Losing last yearSaracens (who are in the EDF semi-final before 2 weeks) and this year being Munster defeated last year champion. Is not an easy journey.

When you see someone in the team Ospreys, Adam Jones, Alun Wyn Jones, Ryan Jones (Wales captain), Mike Phillips, James Hook, Gavin Henson, Lee Byrne and Shane Williams (word to the player of the year) - all concepts of class player, not just for Club Class - you can see why people think that should make better.

They won the games would be lost. They rarely speak and have difficulty scoring tries, although some of the most creative players in the world.

It is hoped that the future of Australian head coach Scott Johnson, can help to resolve the matter. But one thing is certain, there are problems with the Osprey that they face.
